Vancouver’s own chip music concert series continues with another night of hard-hitting music, created and performed with ingenious usage of hardware + software from chiptune / demoscene / vintage video game roots!
We’ve got a killer lineup for you – starting with TRASH80 (Los Angeles, CA), one of the de facto pioneers and pillars of the modern chiptune scene. We’ll also be featuring PONGBALL (Vancouver, BC) – longtime composer of SNES-styled magical wizardry – in her debut live performance! SKYBOX (Seattle) joins us as well for a set of LSDJ-driven party vibes along with some new modular synth elements Rounding out the night will be Seattle staple GRAZ with his trademark mega-hype Game Boy ravetechno jams. Resident DJ Bitcouver will be filling the spaces in between with a selection of the latest and greatest chip music floating around the world today!
On the visuals front we have BASE64 with her trademark glitched-out databending madness, and CHRIS SHIER with this zen-like pulsating geometric forms.
We’ll also be featuring an INDIE GAME MINIGALLERY consisting of amazing local devs showing off games they’ve been working on – often exclusive pre-release preview builds!
As usual, we’ll start with an OPEN MIC SESSION where up-and-comers can plug into the sound system and share the music they’ve been working on with the crowd! You can sign up here:
